When you see shamrocks, leprechauns, and lots of green, you know it's time for St. Patrick's Day. And when you smell the tantalizing aromas coming from the church kitchen on the fourth Wednesday of March, you know it's time for the annual "corned beef and cabbage" Senior Lunch! Chef John Adams and the kitchen crew will dish up an Irish feast you won't want to miss. Please sign up on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall by March 24th and be "wearin' o' the green" at lunch on March 27th. Meal service begins at noon. This rewarding program serves residents of local senior living facilities as well as members of our own congregation. Volunteer help is always needed. If you can assist with setup, serving, food prep at home or in the church kitchen, or cleanup, please contact John at email@example.com or Ann Santos at ASNDRLN@aol.com. We will be glad to have your assistance. Please come for lunch. Your Irish eyes will be smilin'...and that's no blarney!
The Carson Valley United Methodist Women will celebrate an astounding 150 years of United Methodist Women lifting up faith, hope and love in action at the local unit’s March 14 luncheon meeting in the education room of the church. The potluck luncheon starts at 11:30 am. with the program following at about 12:15 pm Following this year’s theme of “Sisterhood of Grace” the program will highlight the women who started the journey of UMW and those who continue. We will also hear from a special guest from First UMW in Carson City who will talk about the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and how we can help people who have suffered in a natural disaster. As an example of Love in Action, she will help us assemble all the items donated by our congregation into hygiene packets which will be given out to those helped by UMCOR.
The packets will be taken to the UMCOR distribution point in Salt Lake City by members of the Carson church. Please join us for fellowship, friendship and information. No need to RSVP, just bring a dish to share. No time to cook? Come anyway! If you want to visit, come early. For more information contact CVUMW President Ann Robar.

This is the sequel to “National Treasure” that we watched in February. Everyone enjoyed it so much that they requested the sequel. Staring Nicolas Cage, Diane Kruger and Justin Bartha, this movie is every bit as entertaining as the first and you will thoroughly enjoy it even if you have not seen the original. And to complete the evening, we will have our world renowned popcorn and of course surprise treats. Don’t miss out on this evening of film, fun and treats. So mark your calendars now!
