Homemade Valentine Candy-Bell Choir Fundraiser

Sunday, February 12

How Sweet It Is!  Our CVUMC Sierra Ringers bell choir would like to add an octave of chimes to those we already have that make such sweet, beautiful music.  So, on February 12, the bell choir will have a fundraiser: homemade candy...just in time for Valentine's Day. It will be available all morning on the 12th in "Cupid's Sweets Shoppe."  The Sierra Ringers will stir up fudge, toffee, mints, coconut mounds, peanut clusters and many other temptations, but if you make candy, please consider donating a batch of your favorite to add to the selection. Contact Ann Santos at 623-340-6914 / ASNDRLN@aol.com and let her know what you will contribute.  Life is sweet, enjoy a treat.... And thanks for making our chimes complete!

February Senior Lunch Celebrates Presidents Day

Wednesday, February 22

It's a Fact: Time for Senior Lunch!  For many well known people, fact and fiction are often confused. Three of the main myths about our first president, George Washington, are that he chopped down a cherry tree, threw a silver dollar across the Potomac River, and wore wooden false teeth!  However, it is no myth that Washington's birthday is February 22, the exact date of the February Senior Lunch! Come and help us celebrate George's big day as well as Lincoln's birthday and Presidents Day. Chef John Adams and the kitchen crew will be serving up a delicious meatloaf lunch. Even though George didn't chop down a cherry tree, we will offer some type of cherry dessert! Be sure to sign up on the board in Fellowship Hall by Sunday, February 19.
If you would like to help with the Senior Lunch Program, contact Ann Santos or John. We will be glad to have you on the Team!
