It is time to get out those recipes for cookies for the UMW annual cookie distribution/visitation on Sunday, Dec. 16. We need congregation members to bake cookies and bars. Please bring your baked goods to the church on that Sunday. Members of the United Methodist Women (and anyone else who wants to help) will put the cookies in tins around 11:30 a.m.--after second service. These tins will then be distributed to shut-ins and those who just need a visit. If anyone would like to help us distribute the cookies and/or visit people at this time of year, please contact Maxane Hylton at 782-5648. You don’t have to visit that Sunday--just within the following couple of days. We’ll put cookies aside for you to distribute. Please call the office or Maxane if you know of someone who needs a visit. We don’t want to miss anyone. And "Start Your Mixers"!

The Carson Valley United Methodist Women invite all women of our church to join them for a Christmas Social, Sunday, Dec. 9, from 2-4 p.m. in the Education Room of the church. The social is scheduled on a Sunday so those who work can also join us for fun and fellowship. No program is planned, just fellowship time. Space is limited, so please sign up as soon as possible on the sign-up sheet on the UMW board in the Fellowship Hall. Board members will provide the refreshments and set up for the social. All you have to do is bring a wrapped “White Elephant” gift for an exchange. White elephant, ladies, means you don’t go out and buy something fancy, just find a give away item in your house...serious or funny! Invite a friend, someone new to the congregation, a family member. Just sign up and join us for the afternoon. Questions? Call president Maxane Hylton at 782-5648.
